Liberty Pumps 237 Discharge Submersible Review

Existing Liberty pump model 403, discontinued. I used the original 403 bucket and installed this pump in it. I had to remove a support rib with a belt sander to allow the float to move up and down freely. I had to purchase a 1 1/2" to 1 1/4" nylon adapter sleeve to install the PVC pressure pipe on the pump. Also, I cut 3/4" off the top of the exhaust pipe for the cap to fit properly. Finally, I cut off 1/8" of the inner sleeve that was getting in the way of the top of the pump. Works great and…

It worked fine for a while but during heavy rain the switch got kinda dirty and the pump stopped working due to a stuck switch shaft. I bought this sump pump after Hurricane Ida and my last pump was completely out of service. I have just installed this pump but like many others it is very quiet and I have a lift height of 1.50m and have had no problem emptying the sump in less than 30 seconds! It's been raining here for the last 2 days and I had to check if the pump was working because I couldn't see it from more than 10 feet!
