Review on Liberty Pumps 237 Discharge Submersible by John Campos

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Suitable for small sump, light weight

So far I love this pump. I have a house that was built in 1979 that used smaller wells and had 2 entrances. This isn't a problem with the old floor pumps you can still find, but most installers now recommend submersible pumps. The incoming water hit the float for every submersible pump I could find at 3 local "big box" stores, so I was concerned it would prevent them from turning on. The Liberty has a good reputation and the float was in the right place and protected from any flooding (but not in my case). It would be nice if the float had more travel than it has, but it's very quiet, so when it's running more often I still don't hear it. Don't skimp on the drain pump, too much is at stake if it fails!

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Safety
