We bought this for a cruise ship stop on the beach. Renting beach chairs and umbrellas can get expensive and limit you to one beach or location during the day. This was ideal because it would save money and give us the freedom to get up and go where (and when) we wanted. It worked great. It was light and easy to carry. Installation is easy even with a constant beach wind. I was concerned that just metal anchors on the four corners wouldn't be enough, but on a windy day with strong gusts of wind that wasn't a problem. In a way, it's better than a sun lounger with an umbrella. You can hang towels on it, tie swim trunks and other light beach toys on it, and hide things underneath. It's low enough not to disturb others on a crowded beach. It easily fits our family of three. The only thing to note is that since it is curved and open on three sides, some parts of the tent are exposed to direct sunlight. When all three of us were lying inside, someone was standing at least half in the sun. We now use it for park concerts, picnics, outdoor events, the list goes on. Very happy and satisfied.
