Can cover very long distances and sticks well to the windshield.

I've heard bad things about dual suction cup mounts like this one, but I'm surprised to say that after thoroughly cleaning the glass and using good ol' spit on the suction cups, it held up very hard. , as well as temperatures down to -20F (I'll update if it can handle the summer heat too), so of course I spent $10 on a mirror mount, expecting these little guys wouldn't keep up as well. So if you doubt the suction power, I assure you that it is very good. I hooked it up to a mirror to get power rather than using a 12v plug with a chord dangling in front of me for a cleaner install as seen in the photos. Now it's all about performance. Since I usually drive a lot off-road and on the freeway, I opted for the cheaper version without a GPS lock function. Now I will tell you personally that the only radar used by law enforcement in my area is the Ka-band so I blocked the X- and K-band as the K-band only sounds every time, when I pass a shop with automatic doors. For the Ka-Band this is amazing and hasn't let me down yet. I would say it can see almost a mile away if there are no obstacles like tall buildings. Even when driving in a small town with "City" mode switched on. He spots a cop parked at a gas station a few blocks away. Which can be bad if you live in the city, as the mic is away from stops and traffic very early to warn you, you can play around with the precision in the settings, although you might tune into what's there for Your Area Works Best There are many tutorials on YouTube on how best to set it up for your location. The radar always goes off before I see the cop, which is good. Overall, the customization of color and brightness, as well as the ability to fine-tune the sensitivity for each band, is great. The best all round detector for the price. If you're more of a casual driver who enjoys getting speed camera alerts and you're not an enthusiast looking to spend upwards of $600 on a speed camera detector. If you live in a city or in the country and don't get that many false alarms, I highly recommend getting the non-GPS model for $100 less, it performs exactly the same.
