Love the extra screens. I use this dual card in addition to the single Startech card I bought last year on a USB3 hub to provide 4 large screens and a laptop screen which I rarely use. All HDMI ports in this setup. It is important to set up monitors in the display settings so that the same monitor is always marked as "primary display" and all monitors are in the same position in all activity scenarios - no matter how the monitors are firing. and in what order. I use a laptop with a built in HDMI port so I made that connection to the primary display for all occasions. First connect only the main display. In the display settings, mark Monitor 2 as the main display. Then add one of the Startech adapters and set it up as if it were a partial install and make sure all the monitors are where you expect them to be and make #2 the main display again. Now unhook it and do the same with the other Startech. Then make sure all your starttechs are loaded, set to the same position for each monitor, and #2 is the primary display. This fixed all my problems. since the monitor can drop for a second now and then or if you move the usb cable, but since everything is in one place under all conditions, it returns immediately and does not freeze. I also have all my monitors connected to the same power supply under the monitors and turn them off when I end the day leaving the laptop on full power all the time (no sleep). You'll also want to make sure you have the latest driver update installed and that all your Startecs are using the same driver by updating them in Device Manager/Display Adapters - right click on the adapter and select "Driver Software To update". My old starter is called Trigger 6 and the new one is called MCT USB3.0. Both use the same driver and work well together.
