I upgraded from a 10 year old 19" ViewSonic monitor to the new ViewSonic 27 monitor and the difference was amazing. This is by no means a $1,000 monitor, but I don't think you'll find a better $160 monitor for $160 in terms of image quality for $160. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because the sound quality is terrible. Sounds like a 1960's pocket transistor radio. The sound quality itself only deserves one star. Luckily I don't use monitor sound, I have speakers connected to my system. But if it's a monitor that's also your main audio source, then I'd look elsewhere.
