We have a gaming PC with an ASUS RTX2060 card that supports 1 Displayport and 2 HDMI ports. We have 2 monitors that only run at 144 Hz on the display port, so I either got a new expensive GPU or ran my monitors at suboptimal 120 Hz. That's what led me to this adapter. In short, it works great right out of the bag. The HDMI port on the GPU could be instantly connected with a DisplayPort cable from a monitor, originally rated at 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz. A quick change of settings in the Control Panel enabled 144Hz with no issues. For the past hour it has been stable and working great. We'll see how it goes, but so far so good. Note that the folks at Asus and Pixio (our monitor) weren't sure if this setup would work. Now I can confirm that this is the case. One thing I can't find out is if G-Sync/Free-Sync is supported via cable (I got a message in the NVIDIA control panel saying the monitor isn't validated, but I can't tell if it is is free). sync is actually active or not - still needs to investigate on my part). Less than $30, looks good so far. Please let's find it.
