This is another very good if not great product from this company and I have to say it was a very satisfying purchase! This gave me some usable space under the monitor. It has about 19 inches of usable area at the top and I would say 18 1/2 inches of bottom (unfolded) area, folded or unfolded, the usable bottom is 2 inches high and 8 inches wide. Pros: - Good quality plastic (probably ABS). Well built and properly hung. Whether it folds or doesn't fold, there's lining everywhere. Phone stand and paper clip/pen tray. had to consider the weight of my monitor (it weighs around 10kg or 22lbs) and the distance between the sides is 18 inches, which is quite normal I would say, and it's good quality plastic so it doesn't bend like wood / chipboard stand / MDF. The degree of bending is very small. I'm not a materials engineer, I can't suggest a product manufacturer to bend, that's going to happen anyway with this stand's size and weight! Also, I have a large thick flip case for my phone so won't fit in the fold of the phone stand with a case on, but will fit most iPhones and Samsungs. Even the cover is perfect! And I don't think you would choose a monitor stand for your phone, consider it an added feature! Conclusion: if you are looking for a good solid stand, look no further, get this one! I recommend it!
