Good for industrial applications, switchboards, etc.

We have them in industrial Ethernet applications as well as CAT 5 HDMI extenders - or 6 cables used. They didn't interfere with any of the signals. In 2 years of use on 100-300ft cables we haven't had any surge damage so either they work or we didn't need protection. However, the low cost of this item makes it useful insurance in case something happens.
