This AVR programmer is amazing! Now I can buy cheap blank ATMEGA 328 chips and just install my own bootloader! Sparkfun (dot com) has a great guide on using this device as an ISP (In-System Programmer) for the Aruduino Uno. There is a lot of descriptive text though (you can use this little guy in MANY different ways). The easiest for me was the only picture to connect Arudino to this programmer. Yes, it comes with a ribbon cable, but I have an Arduino Uno Zebra Case (Black Ice) and the ribbon cable doesn't go through the cutout, and I didn't want to take it apart. In short, on Arudino: Vcc / 5v - Red - Pin 2Gnd - Black - Pin 6MOSI - Green - Pin 4MISO - Yellow - Pin 1SCK - Blue - Pin 3Reset - Gray - Pin 5And on this device: Vcc - Red - Pin 2Gnd - Black - Pin 6MOSI - Green - Pin 1MISO - Yellow - Pin 9SCK - Blue - Pin 7Reset - Gray - Pin 5 This is a 9825 product on the Sparkfun website and they have the schematic as a PDF.
