I've been using Linux for over 20 years so I have an idea of what I do with computers. After installing this card in my well-maintained computer, the USB stick triggers a PC wake-up or reboot event after trying to shut down the computer in the operating system using software shutdown. I've had multiple keyboards or USB hubs in the distant past and it's usually troublesome to find the cause of such PC wake/reboot events after OS software shutdown. Usually caused by bugs in a USB device's firmware and sometimes fixed by a firmware update, but more often it's the result of faulty USB chips that aren't immediately fixed by a firmware update. These cards have a similar problem. I'm very surprised, apparently nobody else has documented problems like this here! I used a Japanese Mailiya PCIEU35P20P04B USB PCI-E card and it appears to be the 2015 successor of this brand/model to 2016. Finally, Mailiya seems to be out of service. after 5-10 years of use, likely due to a firmware impact requiring a manual firmware download for the card to be recognized by the BIOS/OS. All I need is a USB hub for minimal bandwidth USB devices!
