This scanner has been great at helping me properly diagnose problems without just giving me a generic error code. Being able to view and test each module for my 2009 BMW 535xi has already saved me hundreds of dollars! I've been getting misfires and random limp home errors on my 535xi lately, and normally a regular scanner would just give misfire codes and nothing else, meaning it could literally be anything. Rather than just replacing coils, spark plugs, injectors, etc., I was actually able to get to all the relevant fuel and ignition modules, which played a big part in troubleshooting. It turned out that my fuel pump module (EKP) had failed and failed the onboard diagnostic test. I replaced the fuel pump module with another one and it worked again with no problems! Another very useful feature is that it can give you specific information about exactly which modules you have. In the picture here you can see my fuel pump module is part number 7276383 which helps ensure I ordered the correct part. This can be done not only for the fuel pump module, but for each module, which saves a lot of time and money when ordering spare parts. I'm glad I was able to find this scanner and can't wait to help other friends solve problems they may be having with their cars as well. It's worth every penny because to get a scanner with all these features you have to pay over $1,000! (locking etc.)
