This is a really nice fan and it really does look like a stingray! As stated in the product description, there are virtually NO visible screws or fasteners once installed. This fan will blend perfectly in modern contemporary interiors or outdoors in a mid-century contemporary concrete landscape/patio. Installation was easy. I used the hardware that came with it and my own tools to install on the outdoor patio. The deck already had 110v wiring and a solid ceiling box attached to the rafters. It's a good idea to have a solid, sturdy mounting platform as you don't want the spinning fan to fall on you. The fan comes with a remote control so no dangling poles. An 18W LED is installed in the middle. Not too bright, but bright enough. If you had this fan in your dining room, the LED probably wouldn't do. Strolling on the terrace on a hot summer night is just the ticket. Three strong and durable plastic slats let a lot of air through. The engine is quiet and powerful.
