Review on 🔥 Cuisinart GR-150P1 GR-150 Griddler Deluxe: The Ultimate Brushed Stainless Grilling Appliance by Marc Tufa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great model and features. Commercial quality, well made and constructive. 1500 watts for roasting! Great grill + grill

Great product. There was a smaller Cuisinart that had different temperatures between the top and bottom cooking grates, a single temperature control for both. Replaced by this deluxe model. It looks stylish as others have written. Features I value: 6-way adjustable floating lid, separate upper and lower temperature controls. Ranges from 200 warm to 450 high + 500 drying mode. The higher wattages on this model made a big difference and so far the temperatures on both regulators are the same at the same temperature. The lid closes with a lock where the smaller model was left unclosed during storage. Large cooking area, also for 2 people. You can now make full size sandwiches with large sourdough bread. An improved drip tray runs along the back of the pan. Tilts open to allow oil to flow back and into drip tray. The grates are also angled at the rear to direct liquid flow into the sump channel. Other models don't have this angle in the grates, and others report grease dripping from the back of the grates onto the counter. Also, I can preheat at 350 for cooking. Then press the top, bottom, or both buttons. The red light stays on until it reaches 500 degrees, then flashes green for 10 seconds (meat pickling time), then fry for 2 minutes and turn off the frying temperature. Then returns to the originally set cooking temperature. Much better design and functionality than the smaller GN4N. If you want to cook, grill and make great sandwiches with it, pay more money and get this model. They also make the Elite, which costs more and has an LCD panel, the same features as this model. I am very happy with this model and am looking forward to tomorrow's steak dinner. TO UPDATE! I used my new GR-150 to cook burgers and the New York style steaks turned out amazing last night. I'm very picky about meat and this gem doesn't cook flavor like some home cookers do. Bought a second one today as a gift for my daughter and son-in-law. They have an old Cuisinart, just plug it in, a tempo, no turning cymbals. There was no message on the gift card. So they'll call each member of their extended family in turn to find out who to thank! Of course only I know, not even my wife will know. At least she'll put two and two together when she sees they're identical to my new one. One final comment: Separate temperature controls are the way to go and my model heats evenly between the top and bottom at the same temperature setting. One last tip, since it's stainless steel. When you remove the long sticker from the top, it will leave an imprint of where the sticker was. You won't feel the glue, but you will see a small square where it was. It took me a while to get rid of it! Did the same as with my stainless grill hood. Squeeze a small amount of Goop Off Liquid onto a paper towel or soft cloth. Rub lightly with stainless steel grit. Then dry it completely along the grain with a clean, lint-free cloth. The apparent square will disappear forever. If you scrape the top and get water stains etc. A little sticky coating as a final wipe will remove all of the above. UPDATE: Steaks cooked in the pan came out perfect (using a meat thermo). But some splashes on the sides from the gap between the panels. Remove the base plates and wrap aluminum foil around the edges and sides, then replace the griddle. Also draped in aluminum at the front as the previous steak had spatters of fat on the controls. Check out the photo to see how the foil trick worked! No splashes of fat to clean the pan! Made our first McMuffin today. Poach eggs first with a pancake ring on the smooth side of the pan. Dried and built English muffin, poached egg, Canadian bacon, sliced medium cheddar on top. The preheated grill plates are closed at 400 degrees. When the green light came on, the sandwiches were in the pan. An adjustable lid was then floated to make contact with the top bun. Neither inside nor outside didn't put anything on the bun. Cook at 400°C until good cheese is melted, 5 minutes. Then I turned it off and let it sit for another 2 minutes with the lid closed. Tidy and served a wonderful McD's style breakfast. It was so light and tasty, not dry, and the buns were slightly crunchy but not toasty like when butter was used top down. My wife loved it and I added some black raspberries to the inner bun, yummy! See photo. Bought 2 more of these for our kids and small family. The more I use it, the more I like the product! Well worth the extra money compared to a smaller device with far fewer features. I use a meat thermometer when grilling. Takes guesses when it's done! I like my steak medium rare, my wife prefers medium rare. The problem is when the grill is in the closed position. Problem solved! I use a ThermoPro TC-10 meat thermometer with pre-set meats (or you can program a specific temperature if you prefer). I preheat the grill at 450 in the closed position. After 8 minutes of preheating, I press the two Sear buttons, which turn red. After 3-4 minutes they flash green which gives me 10 seconds to put the meat on the grill, then the light turns green for 2 minutes (roasting). After 2 minutes, the sear indicator will go out and the top and bottom temperature indicator lights will turn green again (they go out in sear mode). I quickly lift the top 1/3 and push the front with the thumbtack to unlock the swivel. Then slide the side height adjustment to the third click and immediately close the lid on the steaks. It sounds like a lot, but after a few times, you'll quickly get the hang of the routine. The third click is great for most of my coated dishes, including hamburger patties and steaks up to 1 inch thick. Finally, slide the wireless temperature probe through the space between the plates on the meat side and adjust to the desired setting. Set it to "Beef", "Medium" (for the woman). On the Thermo Pro, it flashes blue when the sensor is above 50, then flashes green when the cooking temperature is within 10 degrees. I then quickly pull out my steak and close the lid to finish my wife's steak. When midway through, Unity will flash red and beep. It's now cooked the way she likes it and mine isn't overcooked. Used ThermoPro to make burgers, chose ground beef from the menu. Did blue, green and red cycles 5 minute break set aside They were cooked medium not pink, juicy and tasty. No more fatty meat in the pan for us! ThermoPro also makes the TC-11 with a wireless remote control! One part is a sensor that shows the temperature of the meat on the bottom of the device. With the wireless remote control you program a simple menu and get + color screens. I have one of each. Fast hamburger, I use a TC-10 without a remote control. When I'm cooking a little slower and lazier, I use a model with a wireless remote control so I can control it while I watch TV. Both models work great and I have found them very helpful when searing meat in this pan. In particular, you don't have to guess the right cooking temperature. Just select the type of meat and the ThermoPro does the rest. There are things that aren't in the book that I learned through trial and error. For example, my other newer cheaper and smaller Cuisinart had dual temperature controls but basically did the same thing. 1 tempo for up and down. This model cooks perfectly with the same temperature but adjustable! So if you're cooking top-down, both handles will work at the same temperature. If I want to disable top or bottom I have that option. Or turn 1 higher lower than the others. The previous model didn't mention that the Sear only stays on for 2 minutes and shuts off. When I contacted Mfg they had no idea and said defective pay $12 shipping and $12 return for an exchange I don't think so! It turns out this model explains that sear mode works for 2 minutes and turns off as intended! The other one wasn't defective! What really sets this model apart is that on most other models, the set temperature is on for a while, then off, sometimes for a long time, and then on again. Up to 12 minutes counted between cycles! Thus, the temperature of the food rises and falls along with the temperature of the plate. This model DOES NOT DRIVE and at first thought it was defective. Mfg contacted and at least they knew that this one should keep the temperature constant! So the green light on the handles doesn't turn off on this device, which is PERFECT! Constant cooking temperature is a safe and efficient cooking method! We have a flat electric stove that does the exact same thing! The burner heats up, turns on and off, can't keep a constant temperature, which is very annoying. I will use it more and more for cooking. I hope you enjoy my photos
