Bluetooth pairing does not work with macOS Mojave.

I bought a high quality headphone for the first time, so I'm not a music lover. It took several hours of fumbling to get Bluetooth working. So much time has passed that I thought this unit was defective. But after a long search and trial and error, I managed to do it. I had to reset the earbuds multiple times and then pair them with my Google Pixel via NFC. The 20th time I tried to pair it with my phone it finally worked. Then I found that macOS Mojave does not support the Bluetooth codec used in Sony headphones. After a few more hours of searching, I found that the aptX/AAC codec needs to be manually enabled. To do this you either have to search in the terminal command line to enable it, but I couldn't get it to work. Another option is to download the Xcode development kit and then download the bluetooth file sharing and there are some checkboxes you check to manually enable aptX/AAC. After doing this, the Sony headphones worked after about 5 hours of trying to get them to work. I don't know who to blame Sony or Apple for. You'd think that high-end headphones would pair with the latest macOS operating system with ease, but that didn't happen.
