I was concerned that assembly would be difficult as the gap in the alcove where I wanted to place it is minimal due to the handrail on one side. But the screws they provide for assembly are hex heads and come with a small hex wrench. This meant the 1.75" gap I had on one side was enough for the screw to go in and rotate safely. water pipe. But I could use the existing bottom holes, except for the 1.75 inch gap mentioned above. I would be in pain. As in the instructions (images without text), it is indicated that the subframe must be fitted last. which would be almost impossible if I actually had to drill those holes. Also due to gap issues I did not (could) use their pre-drilled holes to mount the item to the wall. They think you can attach it to the sides. I decided to attach the anchors to the top of the frame (after drilling a few more holes). But still 5 stars as I knew I had to play around with it due to the bottleneck I was fitting it into. Ouch. and they supplied an extra wall anchor and screw of each type. I love it when they do that. :) It wasn't perfect (so maybe 4.5 stars would have been a better guess), some of the slats on the shelves were badly sanded and chipped a bit, and the paint was thin in places, but really no big deal.
