Update:The standard sized little 10ml bottles of essential oil will last under 24 hrs in this at a scent intensity level between 6 and 9 (I changed the level a few times back and forth between 6-9 throughout the day).thats a small fortune you're gonna be spending if thats all you use in this. the 120 ml bottle of essential oil I ordered arrived today, so I filled the machine with all 120 ml's and set it to 6. I'll update with how long the bottle lasts. And it better be more than 12 days.I've had this sitting in my cart for a few months now (actually the version w/o bluetooth) and squealed when I finally got the box today.My first impressions were that this is shorter than I expected, pretty in its rose gold color and very heavy which makes it feel sturdy. and expensive (which, it is 🤢).I could NOT for the life of me figure out how to open this and had to actually read the directions! Reading the directions didn't help, it wasn't until by luck or grace of God or both plus my blood sweat & tears the thing finally popped open. I didn't realize the top opens the way that it does, like a secret door. You'll know what I mean when you see it in person. Once you've realized this, opening it is as simple as pie.The manual controls are easy, which I appreciate. The only buttons are the on/off button and the intensity level up/down buttons.I noticed a high pitched whistle immediately. It sounds almost like a dog whistle, or like the whining of a running faucet one notch above dripping when its a steady light stream. The whistling whine doesn't bother me at all. I have 6 kids and a husband, plus dogs so noises don't get under my skin. However, its worth mentioning because I know people who will beyond a shadow of a doubt hate this noise. If you're sensitive to noises don't get this one. Seriously.You don't have to use Aromatech oils with this (although Aromatech has to tell you the opposite bc it voids the warranty if you don't, as is the case with any and every company ive ever seen).but you do need to make sure your essential oils are made for cold diffusion machines and don't require heating up. I ordered an Aromatech oil because I needed some new ones anyways, but currently I'm using another brand. Works fine. This machine holds up to 120 ml of essential oil. So if you only have the standard little 10 ml bottles, thats not gonna last long.As for the scent output, im not quite sure where I stand on that yet. This immediately filled my kitchen with the white tea & thyme essential oil I added to it however, im not picking up on the scent in my adjoining living room with the intensity level at 6. My kitchen & living room are petite, under 100 sq ft, so why don't I smell this in my living room? White tea is known for being a strong scent that carries which is why I chose it as the first scent I wanted to try. I'll give it a few more days and update with how I feel on this.I haven't turned on Bluetooth yet. I would've gotten the non Bluetooth version, not only because it 50 bucks cheaper but because I'm always home and don't mind manually pushing the buttons.I *thjnk* I read somewhere that 120 ml of essential oil should last a month. I may be way off, so don't quote me on that. Thats something else I will update with once I've had the machine long enough.So far, I'm not quite as impressed as I thought I'd be by this things performance, but I still need to play around with the scents and intensities, and I DO like it. Im happy with it and if I can get it to fill my kitchen AND living room with scent then I'd order another.
