I live in an area where the well water I use for cleaning is insanely heavy with sediment and smells like rotten eggs. This does an excellent job of removing odors but does not reduce sludge as tested by a sludge tester. I need to use the water from it to pour into the Zero water filter so it's drinkable. Otherwise, so much sediment will remain in it that it will literally coat the container that the water is in with limescale. If it allows sediment to pass, how does it prevent other substances from passing through?
