I bought these to hold an iPad on a lead coated mic stand for rehearsals and gigs. It worked great! Stationary at home, that is. The second time I tried to use it, I practiced and found that it had broken in two and was mounted on a mic stand in the trunk of my car. My usage seems to be exactly what this is for. It looked and felt pretty strong. It wasn't surrounded by rocks and I wasn't driving like crazy. The way I've moved it isn't uncommon for these types of items - mic stands get thrown in cars with clips all the time, and nobody expects the clip to break when you get to a gig. The package does not include a special carrying case or warnings regarding such transportation. For some reason there don't seem to be many tablet holders that attach to a mic stand like a mic clip. So I put another Jackson in and will try again. This time I'm going to rock him like a Fabergรฉ egg. But I don't have to, and neither should you. you have been warned
