I used these to replace two small 850 lumen light bulbs on a dimmer in my kitchen. The difference is significant in terms of brightness, very noticeable at night. The previous non-dimmable bulbs I've tried flickered in the socket, but this one didn't. The lamps can be dimmed, although the brightness might be around 25% or so at the lowest dimmer setting, not that I find that a problem for me. [EDIT: One of these bulbs died after less than 24 hours of use! That doesn't bode well! [EDIT: Now another of the REPLACED bulbs has died after 2 months. That's stupid. I'm done with this. Yes, the company refunded my money, but eventually the time it takes to fix the burned out LEDs outweighs the savings of going to a more reliable lamp manufacturer. The chances of LED bulbs that should last YEARS after YEARS of daily use dying after a short time are SO slim. It's probably either all useless lightbulbs with a low average lifespan, or there is terrible quality control that allows a lot of useless lightbulbs to come out and waste everyone's time]
