Review on Nikon SB-800 AF Speedlight for Nikon DSLRs - Old Version: Enhanced Flash Photography for your Camera by Matthew Bell

This product was purchased for my wife who is a semi-professional photographer. She takes photos indoors and outdoors and is glad she has this flash. It's powerful enough to shine far (100 feet) indoors and doesn't drain batteries as quickly as one might expect. We use this flash with a Nikon D300 and we have a battery pack for longer flash cycle times - I would recommend a battery pack if you are using it for faster shots. I'm thinking of getting two more for studio shots as it can work in command mode to control up to three flashes. You'll be glad to own one instead of an SB-600 or 700 as you read from other reviewers here. My wife's old school of photography also used this in her school. Nikon has archived this product so get it while you can!
