They fit great and are comfortable as expected. I just wanted and needed a vintage pair of good old high top tennis shoes and that was about it. These shoes have a rather thin sole, so walking in them on stones or gravel is uncomfortable - it hurts your feet a lot. They are not designed for hiking off-road unless there are rocks. Sometimes you can achieve more in tennis shoes, which are great for tread traction. I expect high tops to keep more chiggers, bugs, and small spiders from getting onto my ankles. I also use blouse ties that I bought here at Revain to put on. Good price.
