Review on Juki TL-2010Q: High-Performance Portable Sewing Machine for Quilting, Tailoring, and Home Decor with Automatic Thread Trimmer by Amber Perez

Nice quilting machine and all, LLP

I have a Juki industrial straight stitch machine for my job in the garment industry and that's when I got interested in quilting. Although I was able to make a basic quilt on this machine, after much discussion with my dealer it was clear that it was not possible to advance in quilting on this particular machine. So I went in search of a new machine! I received a comprehensive demo of the Bernini 800 series, which comes complete with a motherboard and many special features, such as spending a lot of money on features that I will not use, and worrying about the motherboard failing. I was so interested in the Juki TL2010Q but like many others I found it difficult to find one to "test drive". But once FOUND, that's it. I felt like I could sit down for him, understand him completely and get to work right away. That was great. So I have it. This is one of the most enjoyable releases in many years. It makes me smile. And although I thought I would only use it for quilting and not sewing, since loving my Juki industrial machine, it has become my favorite machine. It is a real pleasure to step into this hybrid industrial/domestic machine. It's got plenty of power, nice stitching, it's a mechanical machine meaning if it fails it's a metal part, not a computer issue. I love it. Since I have basic industry experience, the tap is very cool. Needle up/down also works. The spooler is very fast and efficient, although you have to use notched spools to grab; If I have a problem, it's the sewing foot because I don't know how to click to cut the pedal thread and I have to be careful not to snap it. I haven't checked why this is my problem, maybe I'm wearing awkward shoes when sewing! Anyway, a small problem. It's a dream car at a decent price and I'm fortunate to have a dealer about an hour away who can service it if needed. Highly recommended if you want to quilt with free movement. Yes, and ALL possible accessories are included with the machine. A very well thought out product.
