*Update (11/2018) for 3 months TT fixed the 0°C crash in the software and now PWM control can be used on rad fans , so I will increase my rating to 3 stars. I can't tell if TT have improved their product packaging (and manual instructions) as I haven't bought any other of these radars so I can't update my review based on that, but the software has improved a lot. _____________________________________________ First Review I think TT has greatly improved the previous generation CPU coolers (Water 3.0 Riing), and they certainly listened to consumers' design suggestions. Unfortunately, this device suffers from critical hardware/software issues. Here I am: (1) Some patches on the radiator fins arrived with partial dents that thankfully didn't go all the way through. After unboxing the radar, I noticed that some of the other packaged components (the USB hub and some cables) were in contact with these bends, so it's clearly poor packaging management. (2) Radar and tubing materials don't seem that strong. and Premium compared to budget Corsair and NZXT models (e.g. Kraken) (3). Instructions for connecting fans (including the water block) to the USB hub were absent and confusing, with simple pictograms and no verbal description in a very quick start guide. For example 2 wires coming out of the water block, a 3 pin connector (obviously a 3 pin water pump (not a variable speed pump) that can be plugged into any 3 or 4 pin fan connector on the mobo (I put You see this in CPU_fan) and another with similar connectors as rad fans, but the manual doesn't mention what to do with this cable (does it go to the motherboard's USB, to a hub?) BTW if you connect this multi-pin cable to the motherboard, it destroys the RGB backlight in the water block! It needs to be connected to the provided hub along with all 3 wheel fans. Only the sensor that reads the software. No part of the motherboard or case, not even the liquid refrigerant inside the pump will ever be 0C so this is clearly a software bug so I need to disable PWM control of the 3 radiant fans and use a manual RPM% value for the radiant fans! This is for a 2017e r product simply not acceptable years in this price range. Worst of all, you can't connect 3-wheel fans to the motherboard fan headers as they are NOT 4-pin PWM fan headers (they are proprietary 5- or 9-pin connectors), so you're forced are to use a proprietary adapter/hub. that comes with the kit. Overall I am not very happy with this product and would definitely not recommend it to anyone. You're better off with Corsair, NZXT, or some other brand. If I hadn't spent so much time building my new gaming rig I would definitely return them and get another brand, but I'll just keep them to myself because I don't have the time.
