Bought these to make small sewing and repair kits for Operation Christmas Child. I wind up a few coils and put them in each set (basic repair kit for boys with white, black, and tan; large repair kit for girls with red, blue, yellow, and gray). I put measuring tapes in the OCC kits as I have a pair of retractable ones myself. But then COVID came and I started making masks - for family and friends, for sailors, for the homeless and, yes, for Operation Christmas Child. First I matched the thread to the fabric, I quickly ran out of bobbins and had to use these - I had a thick quarter of this fabric, one of them. And in my Singer Stylist the coils work great. I've also taken to sewing all my masks with white, black, brown, or gray thread, which sped up production. Just a tip for you. ;)
