Review on 🔌 Silver Long Shaft 12V DC Dimmer for LED, Halogen, Incandescent - Ideal for RV, Auto, Truck, Marine, Strip Lighting by Carlos Long

I wanted a dimmer for the LED panel under the canopy of my van. Unfortunately I couldn't find the + and - wires to the lightstrip which meant any other dimmers I could find wouldn't work as they require a + and - input and then a + and - output. This dimmer can be connected anywhere in the line and on either side of the light source. I just replaced the on/off toggle switch with this dimmer and it works great. The light is only 97-98% bright at its brightest level, but it's bright enough. This dimmer is also small enough that I could replace the built in switch in the LED lights that were installed in my RV if I wanted to. It works so well I bought 4 more to use elsewhere. Update 20 August 2019 The dimmers work fine but I have found that when the voltage drops in my RV the lights will flash rapidly at the dimmer's maximum setting. . This also seems to depend on how much load the dimmer has. With a low-power LED lamp, flickering occurs earlier than with the LED line under the canopy. If the voltage gets low enough, even the LED strip will start flickering. Lowering the setting until the flickering stopped gave near full brightness, so this isn't a problem, just a characteristic of these dimmers. As soon as I plug in my RV and the voltage is back, the flickering goes away on all settings.
