Tried one and loved it
I got a cheap one of a well known brand and it was fine but then i grabbed one of these to block another entryway for my dogs. This one is so much better. The cam lock makes a huge difference in usability especially on stairs. And being able to keep it less tight so i can lift it off the bottom lip with my foot when going down the stairs with my hands full is extra useful. I like it so much more, I just bought another one to replace the name brand one for good.
