I have three mini Christmas trees that I put on the kitchen windowsill and one on the kitchen island. I like that they are battery operated and I don't have to worry about plugging them in or running cables through a busy counter, island or floor. Batteries lasted all season. I only ran them in the evenings but on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day they ran all day and well into the night and they ran brightly with no problems. I also bought another battery based on other reviews, but I didn't need it. They are cute, cute, cute little lights.
