Review on ๐Ÿฑ THERMOS Stainless King 24oz Food Jar โ€“ Vacuum-Insulated, Matte Steel by Ashton Dahmer

Ideally less for a functional problem. problem for some.

I bet I've had over 20 different types of thermos. This one hits the target perfectly. For my money, any thermos should be metal both inside and out, with of course stainless steel, at least on the inside; and his model that I bought was . For the functionality of its main purpose, this is awesome. With a little hot water preheating, it keeps the soup HOT for a full 8 hours in the Seattle climate. The mouth opening is large and easy to clean inside. However, a large neck does NOT mean that heat escapes that way. A big downside for me and I think others: THERE IS NO HANDLE FOR THIS. Sure, there are all sorts of dingy grips that you can attach with zip ties, but they don't look good, so I made my own. I started by purchasing a pen on eBay for the "30 OZ YETI RTIC Ozark Trail Rambler Tumbler". I trimmed the width and reduced the outside diameter by removing a piece from the middle of the band. Photo attached I think! Now this thermos is perfect for me. Its 24 ounce size is a bit odd for soup cans, but I fill it up with other concentrated beef broth or chicken gruel. The cup with it looks small at first glance, but fits well in the large man's hand and doesn't let the food cool down before you sip it! Reducing the "stars" is not on the handle. The item is meant to be worn with a small waist, so they should offer it. It's just too big in girth to easily hold with one hand.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Sad gear
