I bought a monitor to connect to my laptop when I work from home. I had problems with both the power cord and the HDMI cable connected to the monitor. I think that's partly because they're plugged in right from the bottom, so maybe gravity relaxes them. In any case, I kept unplugging and plugging the cables back in to get them working. After about a week I gave up and sent the laptop back. Instead I bought a cheaper and slightly smaller Prechen brand monitor and I don't like the colors on it but overall it was much better. The cables never had to be adjusted. I also prefer the smaller size as I use it as a second screen for my laptop, so I think it's a good thing that the screen isn't much larger than a laptop screen. I believe the Prechen brand monitor has the best picture quality too. Excel was a bit fuzzy on HP.
