Why all the hate? It's decent at least!

Note. This review was prepared for the 2021 formulation change. I bought the 2021 vanilla and it's barely drinkable, even cold. Buy old stuff while you can; the 2021 formula is too sweet and no longer tastes good. AVOID. When I see a lot of one-sentence reviews chasing a product, I wonder if there's some kind of campaign where people get paid to flood a product with one-star reviews or even buy it and on throw away the same way. . The only other alternative is that people actually think writing ultra-short reviews is helpful or think it makes them better. (Hint: it's not.) Anyway, I've bought this a few times from Revain and will share my experiences. First, two bottles broke in three deliveries. Two. Secondly, since they are widely available, they are quite tasty. I think I got pre-processed toasted almonds from Walgreens and it was great. However, they taste good if you shake them beforehand. They taste better cold too. However, they do NOT taste medicinal. They do NOT taste like cough syrup. They do NOT taste like chemicals. Again, either bad shipments have been sent or something else is going on. Third, I can taste stevia, but I don't feel it here. It's not too sweet. It's remotely chalky, but mostly just smooth and comfortable. It keeps me whole; it gives me energy It has a pleasant mouthfeel. Best of all, it's 160 calories and NO SUCRALOSE. I think it's a little misleading to sell a protein/health shake and then pump it up with artificial sugars (hello Muscle Milk and Premier), but hey, to each their own. I also like the fact that it doesn't contain a lot of vitamins. I don't want to mess around with my supplement routine so it's good to know if I want protein, bam, that's protein and nothing else. Fourth, yes, it contains 250ml of sodium. That's 10% of your RDA people. Drinking does NOT mean eating Mickey D's fries. Anyway, if you're looking for something that actually works for you, does what it says on the tin, tastes good enough, and beats local retail prices, then this is it. And in case you're wondering, yes I plan to buy that again soon, or the 11 ounce toasted almonds.
