In order for this to work with a newer Linux kernel, you need to find and download a git repository. My initial review was not accepted, maybe because the url was provided as external urls seem to be forbidden, so I'll just say look for the git repo rtl8812AU_8821AU_linux. ArchLinux offers an AUR package for this. You will probably need to reboot after installing the module. For this reason I wanted to give it only two stars, but after installing the module, it offers excellent speed. It's smaller than standard USB. EDIT: D-Link was kind enough to reply and offer to get the drivers from their website. I downloaded the zip file and tried the provided install.sh script but it failed. Although the ZIP file contained a lot of documentation, most of it was for Android and other devices. For now, I still suggest a buyer using Linux to clone and use the github repo, assuming you have the kernel headers and kernel development (on Fedora and possibly other RH based systems), it's just make , make install and depmod. ArchLinux has an AUR for this, which also works. Neither Free nor OpenBSD seem to recognize it, but I haven't gone into detail. (None of them can run 802.11ac with the Intel card they recognise.) EDIT: Just a few months later (August) this no longer works. Windows and Linux machines (on two different machines) see the map but can no longer connect. As it was sold by Revain I wrote to them to return it.
