Review on 👕 Calvin Klein Boys' Long Sleeve Denim Button-Down Shirt, BLEACHOUT, Large (14/16) with Functional Chest Pocket by James Crofton

This Calvin Klein long sleeve denim shirt for tall boys looked a lot better in person. When I ordered this I was a bit concerned that this shirt would look too "acid washed" when in fact the picture shows more than the usual color of a light denim shirt. In fact, luckily she falls somewhere in the middle and looks a lot prettier and more stylish than I expected. Everything about this shirt is well designed, well sewn and well finished. It's not really 90's style durable denim - another issue I had lol - but a lighter blend that breathes easier, has a bit of flex that moves well across the body - even when layered – and feels surprisingly soft for this type of denim material. I bought this for my youngest son who just turned 10 and is now in the middle of a growth spurt, mid-size. Now he is 12 years old, but hardly. At the same time, 14/16 are often too big. When he tried it on it was roomy for him, but not so big that he couldn't even put it on now. It's also a bit tall for its age, so it wasn't as long as I feared. The sleeves are almost perfectly long, thank goodness there is some room to grow. Considering he's about 14 at the moment, that seems pretty accurate in size. And I'm glad it looks like a shirt that will last him through the coming school year. The colour, although not acid washed, is a lighter blue denim than I thought with a faded/worn/slightly bleached look that is much thinner than I thought. With the current styles, it is definitely very popular, so actually perfect. It gradually transitions smoothly into the whitening effect and back, and the result is a really beautiful and sharp look. Also, my youngest son is a special needs child and if he doesn't like wearing it, forget it. He will NEVER wear it. He really likes this shirt and he said it's nice in it, which makes me very happy. He looks really cute with his sleeves rolled up and he looks really stylish in it. He likes the softer feel of this material instead of the thicker, rougher material often found on denim shirts. This is perfect as a school shirt for fall! Overall we are very happy with the quality, style and fit of this 'denim' shirt and it is definitely going to be one of my youngest son's top favorites. Wardrobe. Two thumbs up from this house!
