I have a bag that I have used for years to carry things to and from work including my lunch . Things have changed lately and I had to take my laptop with me as well. The bag was designed for a 15 inch laptop but doesn't have much padding and once you added the laptop there wasn't room for anything else, like my lunch. I also ride my motorbike back and forth. work when the weather permits, so I needed something big enough to fit all my regular stuff and a laptop, yet small enough to mount on the back seat of a motorcycle and be held in place by two elastic straps . and a few local retail stores and I found another one that I could work at but still wasn't sure I'm glad I didn't because when I saw this one I knew it would be perfect for mine needs would be. One thing that isn't mentioned or pictured online is the detachable, padded inner laptop sleeve with a soft flap that fully encloses your laptop. My 15 inch laptop fits in perfectly. The backpack's laptop compartment also has moderate padding, so if your laptop is too big for the sleeve, you don't need to use it and your laptop is still protected. This backpack has 3 zippered main compartments. The impressive thing about this particular make/model is the middle compartment. It is almost as big as the laptop compartment. I have a nylon splitter, but it's not a 50/50 split. More like 70/30. It's big enough to fit a second (smaller) laptop, some school books, or my lunch in the large compartment and a few folders in the smaller compartment. The third main compartment is the front. A 10.1-inch tablet (with bumper or case) could fit into this compartment if desired. It offers space for pens or pencils, as well as several compartments for small items such as calculators, business cards, etc. small zipped compartments. One on each side, one on the front, and one on top between the laptop and center compartments. This top compartment also has a headphone pass. "Broad and about 7 inches deep.
