Good product! - Heat Guns

This review is for the Pro Tect 1500W 9 Piece Heat Gun. I bought it to remove kitchen drawers. It worked great, especially with the various heat flow adapters which were easy to attach and detach and stay in place during use. The pistol rests very well upright (heater facing up) without accidental inversion. This is a comfortable position when you use it; Shrink wrap for connecting wires, heating items with store and branding stickers (this will also remove label glue that often remains on the item from peeling and/or scraping without heating). I've used several commercial heat guns that cost many times more than this one. This heat gun works just as well as a standard one. It has two trigger heating modes, high and low. The heat was instant on the many times I used it. I am holding this to remove product labels from my glass pots and pans purchases. (DO NOT USE ON PLASTICS (unless you have experience with this) as this heat gun is very hot). The two things this gun doesn't do compared to commercial ones are: 1. Doesn't have a cool switch position that turns off the heat and blows room air just to cool the end of the gun, 2. Doesn't have a down angle, which I like, and I'm deducting a star for this reason. The case that it comes in is good as it does a great job of keeping all the parts in one place. (I don't put the gun back in its case because I can't wrap the cord comfortably as it's heavy (as it should be) but a bit stiff). This heat gun model is a real bargain for the price!
