Review on Solderm8 by Adam Taylor

I love this Solderm8! It's meant to be used when soldering wires to LED strips, but I use it to hold two wires together when soldering. I removed the strip of metal that is in the base and filled it with solder mask so the solder only gets to the wires and the heat loss is less than that strip of metal could provide. It has two magnets at the base and two very grippy pads attached to the bottom to prevent slipping. The case along with the clips is made of very durable plastic. It feels like it could be the nylon that all power tool cases are made of. I am very happy with this purchase. It's really useful when soldering two wires in a car as it's small and flimsy compared to both helping hands. It's a logical choice to use in this situation.
