Smart shopping - storage and organization

I've had these bags for about six months now and am very happy with my purchase. First, the bags are easy to carry. I keep the pod in my car (the driver's door pocket is a great place or any other place that's easy to see/remember) and then put it in a large bag when I get out of the car. I often attach the capsule to my shopping cart when I'm in the shop. At checkout, the pouches are easy to detach from the capsule and although you have to shake them once or twice to open them, they are very strong and hold more than you would expect given their size. I once packed 10 cans of soup, 4 large cans of tuna, 2 small boxes of cornbread mix, and a 4 pound bag of brown sugar into one of the bags. Yes it was heavy but the bag worked well and never felt like it would rip or break. I also had a shampoo leak in one of the bags and laid them all on the wet cot and in both cases the moisture didn't leak out. While it could be a very different story if I put the packets straight into a puddle or spilled a less viscous liquid (than shampoo), I'm sharing to show these are sturdy little packets. In addition, all bags have been washed well several times. (I air dry them.) I can see they last quite a while. I would definitely buy these bags again (and sometimes kicked myself for not buying a larger set but didn't know how they would hold up at the time) and would recommend them to anyone who may or may not want to reduce bag waste. Willingness to pay for cheap plastic bags at the checkout, which are hardly usable anyway.

Pros
  • Household and kitchen
Cons
  • Out of fashion
