, I love Houdini by Rabbit Bar Tools. But not this one. Pros: They come in a nice box and are very attractive to look at. Seriously, they're great when you open the box. Cons: Although the description says they are "18/8 stainless steel" (which is what I was looking for), they have a very plastic feel. I'm replacing a version of the same corkscrew I've used for years (and years and years), but I suspect this one won't last more than a few months. The one that broke just after opening many bottles was much stronger than the one in this set. It pains me to say this about a brand I trust and instruments so beautiful and shiny. Cork is unusual in that it has a removable piece of rubber that actually effectively acts as a gasket. Champagne corks are not entirely effective, however. I will use them frequently over the summer and revisit this review to raise the stars when they are up to the heavy-duty task.
