I was initially disappointed with this fan because it is so small and the air coming out of it was no colder than any other fan. However, I'm sure the air would be much cooler if I filled the tank with ice water. The reason I keep this is because of the battery. I live in Florida where we deal with hurricanes and they drain us of energy for several weeks. This fan keeps me relatively cool when the power goes out.
