I have a monitor that offers a "one cable" USB-C solution (LG 34" Ultra Wide) – meaning you can charge your computer (Macbook Pro for me) and also stream video through the same cable. I've tried many USB-C cables I've had, but apparently they're not all the same. This transmits video AND charges the MBP with just one cable from the monitor - that's nice. As for the cable itself. It's a braided cable - good quality - you get what you pay for. One cable to rule them all.
