I took the black one. It goes very well with the Mini 6. The quality of the material and workmanship seems to be good, of course we don't know anything about durability or longevity yet. Considering the price I'll be more than happy if it lasts a full year, but it seems to last. The main disadvantage is that the cutout for the USB-C cable is small. I can install a headphone adapter and a small Apple charging cable and it connects just fine. The larger Apple charging cable, and almost all other third-party cables, have a connector that is too big to fit in a case. Some may occur when the hull warps, others just don't. This issue is quite serious and I may have to trim the case to accommodate the cables - of course this will affect the structural integrity and possibly the way the iPad is held in the case. It makes no sense to me to buy all those new $15 case cables and adapters. So if the mod doesn't work, at least it gives me a reason to buy a new case. It's entirely Apple's fault, but I'll mention it here anyway because the case causes a problem. I want the pencil to be shorter and the docking to be at the top or bottom (obviously this will probably be at the top). Then the buttons on the sides could be as they should have been and the Mini 6 when used with a case would be the same width as all previous Minis before the original. Even with the pencil on top, it would likely be shorter than all previous minis and the same size. I used to hold all previous minis in one hand with ease, now it's a stretch. They used to fit in most back pockets of my pants, but not anymore. So if you don't use a lot of cables and are price conscious, this should be great. If you're easily frustrated by connection issues, or would rather pay more for something better, just skip these.
