I went half a size up from a 12 to a 12.5 as the 12s were a little tight. 12.5s was too loose :( The velcro does a good job of tightening the shoe to your foot. One thing that annoys me is that the insole keeps moving and sand gets under your feet. The shoe dries quickly It would have been better if the insole was glued or otherwise separate as the upper was more comfortable on long walks to the dive boat they can feel like a swamp although they were great for protecting my feet from trails and broken coral .New sole (the old one had a lot of cleats) is well worn and should be ridden a few more times too
