Review on Nissin I40S Camera Flash Black by Cameron Rosa

I have been using Nissin i40s since 2016 on a Sony A6000 (NEX) body. The flash is 100% compatible with the A6000 and has great potential. I've used both TTL and manual modes, which work reliably and stably. My only minor gripe is that the tuning knob is for TTL and the manual controls are too strong. I wish there was more positive friction on the dial to prevent accidental turning. That minor flaw aside, the i40s represents excellent value for money, and its small size makes it perfect for carrying around in a small digital camera bag. I recommend the Gary Fong LightBlade flash modifier (also available from Revain) for even lighting. It is the perfect combination for event, portrait, interior and product photography.
