I lost a nut during a bike repair and figured one of these would do the job without being the cheap aluminum nuts found elsewhere at Revain. After a quick inspection, I thought these nuts had 3/8" less thread than my old one, but I wasn't sure. I was having a hard time figuring out what axle size my bike would be, so I didn't know. Sure they were the wrong size. I then did something stupid and destroyed my axle. Now I'm looking for a replacement axle and found 3/8"x26 instead of 3/8"x24 as this one. Since this is not up to the standard of two very different bikes from very different decades, I would advise you to make absolutely sure you need 3/8"x24 nuts before you buy them.
