Review on πŸŒ€ Efficient (High Speed) LAMXD Needlecraft Large Jumbo Metal Yarn/Wool/String/Fiber Ball Winder – Hand Operated, 10-Ounce Capacity by Doris Tran

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very good winder for middle class yarns that are not appreciated enough.

Okay, bad things ahead: it's loud. Put on your headphones and listen to music or a talk show. On the underside of the plate that attaches to the table is a screw head that drills a hole in your table. Put something underneath or on top (I just folded up a spare thread sleeve and put it in there). The good thing is that it holds up to 7 ounces, so it will hold all but the largest balls of yarn without cutting. Spend enough time with your yarn and you'll know when to cut it to make the cakes the same size. The holes in the tortillas will close themselves when you pull them out, and if you fold the casing and press against the center of the coil as you pull, you can keep the casing inside the tortilla. It's fast. A large ball of Bernat Blanket usually takes at least an hour to manually wrap a cake and it took about 6 minutes for a wrapping machine to make 2 cakes from a ball. The solution to the brochure problem that was criticized: can be adjusted by turning. Keep adjusting until you get it right. General usage instructions: You really need to hold the yarn up and pull at the beginning of the ball. Having Swift yarn and skeins as opposed to the machine-wound skeins sold in fabric stores may be better. Alternatively, have someone hold the yarn and pull while you twist. If the yarn you start with weighs more than 7 ounces, try not to overfill the winder. The gears will eat your yarn, just like any winding machine. Make it short and move on. You can use magic knots and nobody will know about it! very good ball winding in the middle area. Go cheap and get plastic cow dung, better go and pay for the car. I like mine a lot, and the craft group I started likes them too.
