At the same time, the description of both the processor and the motherboard explicitly indicates support for unbuffered ECC memory. Its pros: High frequency without overclocking. It can work on AMD without lowering the frequency in the BIOS (unlike many XMP sticks, where the frequency of stable operation is much lower than stated when used in conjunction with AMD motherboards).
