Had a Prime Day Sale on the highly acclaimed Light & Motion Vis 500, low enough that I could replace the much used (and now worn out) Blitzu Gator on a trio. Most of my complaints about flashlights are usually related to the mount, so I was very impressed when the mount came with a rubber strap that was easy to remove and attach and a fantastic retaining pin that was easy to use. Once installed the mount was solid and worked great. The actual work with the light was horrible. Much can be attributed to the useless Castle mode. To turn on the light, you need to hold down the button for it to turn on. However, if you press and hold this button for too long, it will enter "lock” mode. This means that there is no way the light will come on. So you'll find that you'll switch the light from lock to unlock and you'll never be able to keep the light on all the time. One day I found that I couldn't turn on the light at all. Maybe it wasn't charging, but the little LED jumped from side to side, indicating I was doing something. Charging the flashlight did nothing. I called support and Light & Motion's voice messaging system (midday) said they were not taking calls due to the pandemic (apparently COVID19 is spreading through cellphone networks and phone lines). --- Who knew?). They gave me an email address which bounced instead. What a crappy customer experience and what a horribly designed light. I went back to the Blitzu Gator which is now $10. The mount had so much promise, but the terrible user interface and total lack of customer service got in the way of business.
