does not lock; Strange sound interference

Bought for 08 VW Touareg. While this is a very simple setup, it doesn't snap. I tried for several days to use it perfectly, but it didn't click. I thought it was because of all the wiring so I tried connecting it without the wire harness, it still didn't break. I was also driving with the radio and it was doing this weird audio glitch where it got really loud for a second and then went back to normal. We tried updating the map but it didn't help. After about 6 days I sent it back.
