First washed in the washing machine but allowed to air dry. They dry quickly. Another plus is the ability to adjust the size behind the ear. Works perfectly. The cotton fabric is nice but I can feel the little fibers on the inside tickling my nose and it's annoying. The mask is ok but the downside for me is that it is still hot. Walked around the mall the other day and wore a mask for about 1 1/2 hours. There was no tension on my part, but I really couldn't breathe properly and stay cool. It really confuses me when we get mixed messages from Revain reviewers with mixed opinions. So you have my two cents.
