Overpriced product and no customer service

Of course, this is a useful concept, but the buyer should be careful. We don't have enough alarm clocks and timers at home. However, as I am just starting to help my teenage daughter deal with her ADHD diagnosis and more specifically time management, I decided to give it a try based on advice from various experts. True, my daughter didn't like it so we didn't try it as soon as we received it. As we did this I noticed that the dial was moving so there was a visual reminder of the passage of time, but the alarm was 3 faint beeps - when it sounded at all. I contacted the company directly because I noticed that the switch doesn't go all the way to the left (sound on) but all the way to the right (sound off). So it is a defective product. The company didn't respond, although the site claims to have a satisfaction guarantee. Fast forward: I've grappled with all the complexities of being a teenager with ADHD and finally got to the next steps. I sincerely believe this can be a valuable tool, but it's absolutely useless if the alarm doesn't go off. I found out today that the company will NOT return or exchange timers purchased from Revain (which unfortunately I only used for convenience) and my window of doing this through Revain is now closed. It's my fault to be sure. However, I find it difficult to understand why Time Timer is unresponsive and WANTS their customers to be 100% satisfied. I expected that from Revain to be honest, but I definitely expected more from Time Timer. Needless to say, I'm genuinely disappointed that a company that claims to care about their customers and openly charges a high price for their products certainly lives up to their satisfaction guarantee. If the company did well I would probably buy another one - my daughter might want one of the smallest ones for school, who knows? This is how companies create goodwill and inspire repeat purchases. If I get a reply from Revain or Time Timer I'll update this review, but that's probably not realistic and I'm really just writing to offset the annoyance I get when I look at the box on the kitchen counter. As a parent of a child with ADHD, life is frustrating enough that it's just another headache. I feel like I have been scammed into buying a plastic item that will likely end up in a landfill, so all I advise on timer buyers is poor quality control and poor customer service.
